About the Role
This Co-Director position is year-round and involves working closely with our Camp Director of
Administration, Erica Hilmas-Tucker, and our board of directors.
When camp is in session (the month of July), the director
● oversees all activities and programs
● manages the staff which includes an assistant director, 15-20 counselors, a camp nurse, a
custodian, and a kitchen staff
● lives on campus with room and board provided
● has time off every day and 24 hours off each 2 week session
During the off-season, the director
● leads camper recruitment & retention efforts
● interviews and hires staff, including counselors, nurses, kitchen staff
● works a flexible schedule of 10-20 hours per week remotely
● schedules some travel to recruiting parties and is reimbursed expenses
Requirements
The ideal candidate is an outgoing leader and a creative problem-solver who is passionate about camp and empowering girls.
The candidate will be expected to take initiative, build strong relationships with
staff, campers, parents, alums, and vendors, and plan programs on a budget.
Preference given to applicants with prior camp leadership experience and who live close to camp.
Starting salary $15k - $30k/year, based on experience and availability during off-season
